Encore Entertainment was founded in 1984, under the name Southwest Symphony, to fulfill a need created by the suspension of the Community Concert Series in Hobbs, NM. From its inception Encore Entertainment has strived to bring a variety of music and performing arts to the citizens of Southeastern New Mexico. Each season Encore Entertainment presents classical and pops concerts performed by Southwest Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Encore Entertainment acts as a presenter to bring performances that include a variety of performing arts concerts.
MISSION
The mission of Encore Entertainment is to present and promote performing arts programs of the highest artistic quality for the region's enrichment. It is our aim to promote the arts and to be a cultural resource for Southeastern New Mexico.
VISION
Encore Entertainment’s vision is to foster the availability of the performing arts to the general public and Lea County schools. Encore Entertainment collaborates with foundations, state and local government, and private corporations and businesses in the region to provide performances, education and community engagement.
